Mindstar Productions Releases Cinergy VideoAssist^™

 (Great Falls, VA – April 9, 2003) – Mindstar Productions, maker of the industry’s only integrated production management system, has released Cinergy VideoAssist™, the latest addition to the Cinergy 2000 Motion Picture Production System (Cinergy 2000 MPPS®) family of products.

The Cinergy VideoAssist module is an add-on that allows script supervisors and shot loggers to view the camera’s video tap directly on their computer’s screen.  This allows easier monitoring of continuity and shot descriptions.  Snapshots can be captured at one or more points during a take, and those snapshots appear directly on the shot logging reports and various Cinergy reporting screens.

VideoAssist requires a video capture card or onboard video input port compatible with Microsoft DirectX technology.  (Hardware connections...)

Registered users of the Cinergy On-Set module can purchase the VideoAssist add-on for $199, while the add-on comes standard with the Cinergy Suite.  Cinergy VideoAssist is available for electronic purchase at the online store at  www.MindstarProds.com.  Current owners of the Cinergy Suite receive the add-on free of charge by performing an online update using the Cinergy UpdateWizard.
