Mindstar Productions Releases the Cinergy Labor Rate Browser

(Great Falls, VA – September 8, 2002) – Mindstar Productions, makers of the highly regarded Cinergy 2000 Motion Picture Production System (Cinergy 2000 MPPS®), in conjunction with Entertainment Publishers, Inc., have jointly released the Cinergy Labor Rate Browser®.

The Cinergy Labor Rate Browser is a multi-platform viewer for the Windows and Macintosh platforms, and is offered as both a standalone program, and as a version that integrates with Cinergy Budgeting.  The labor rate browser contains current rates for IATSE, Teamsters, DGA, SAG, AFTRA, AFM, and WGA.  Rates are provided for below-the-line crew in Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Florida and San Francisco.
Additionally, the guide contains information related to minors, insurance requirements, fringe benefits and residual rates.

In the ever changing and evolving world of the entertainment industry, professionals need quick access to information vital to performing their daily activities.  Rates are provided for individuals that work in theatrical and television motion pictures, television commercials, and music videos. The Cinergy Labor Rate Browser is a must for studio executives, producers, production managers, assistant directors, production accountants, and directors.

According to Susan Tolle, of Entertainment Publishers Inc., “Cinergy users can now access up-to-date rates and fringes.  The program contains a wealth of information about rates, fringes, overtime, pension, health & welfare and much more.  The Integrated Ratebook has extensive coverage of 22 unions, 73 locals, and 31 departments, for every major production center.  Cinergy users can view information as they budget, and even transfer rate information directly into their budgets”.

A user-friendly interface provides quick access to labor rates and working conditions for all Union/Guild agreements.   The rate browser can be utilized independently or in conjunction with Cinergy Budgeting.  Cinergy users can easily incorporate rate book information directly into their budgets by simply clicking on a line of information contained in the rate browser.

Existing Cinergy 2000 MPPS owners will receive the labor rate browser application for free through the Cinergy Update Wizard online update, with a small sample set of labor rates.  Data subscription for current labor rates will be sold for $19.95 / Qtr.   Individuals that do not own Cinergy can purchase the standalone version of the labor rate browser for $120.00 (first quarter rates provided free; following quarters’ rates are $19.95/Qtr).  The Cinergy Labor Rate Browser is available for electronic purchase at www.MindstarProds.com.  Quarterly labor rate subscriptions can be purchased from Mindstar Productions ( www.Mindstarprods.com ) or Entertainment Publishers ( www.entertainmentpublisher.com ).
